In 2018 the original owners of Le Vagabond sold their excess, stored their essentials and set out on a world tour. Living in a van, road tripping around North America, they embraced freedom to the full. In 2020, they returned to Australia to start a family and chose to establish their family business in Hobart, Tasmania stating that is is “the people, culture, landscape and history of Tasmania” that made them choose this place they now proudly call home - and we couldn’t agree more. This wild state has the perfect balance of rugged coasts, picturesque mountains and vibrant communities. 

Fast forward to September 2024 and Le Vagabond entered a new era of ownership. Nathan and Georgia, both born and raised in Hobart, hope to continue the ethos created by Gen and Stu whilst balancing their careers in education and health care and raising their two young children.

Le Vagabond is a 1960’s restored caravan that was built in the shed of a family farm. Reclaiming materials from all around the state, our little van has been given a second life after long being considered someone’s trash. Handcrafted, our caravan bar represents our appreciation for sustainable living and local culture.

With a well thought out atmospheric setting and specialty decorations, lawn games, a 3 tap Kegerator to pour your best-loved brews, display fridge, insulated sinks for bottled and canned favourites, not to mention our professional and authentic service, Le Vagabond is a wonderful addition to your already perfect event .
